We actually had some sunny days in 2019 which prompted Simon to suggest we write some songs to celebrate those perfect summer days when the sun shines, the birds sing and the lawnmower is broken. We wrote five songs (it was a short summer – again) and released them as an EP. There was a discussion about whether the cover picture on the album should be of us in our speedos but it was voted down (Denise had the casting vote). We could save that idea for a Halloween Special perhaps. Anyway, we hope you enjoy the songs; they are perfect for those lovely summer days when it’s too nice to get out of bed.
