The Amber Band release first album

A musician couple who quit London in search of a better quality of life in Derbyshire have released their first album.

The Amber Band takes its name from Kevin and Denise Quinlan’s adopted home village of Ambergate, where they settled two years ago.

Kevin, originally from Manchester, and Denise, who hails from Middlesbrough, have been playing music for many years as part of a function band in London.

On moving to Ambergate they teamed up with Simon Martin, a bass player from Long Eaton, and began to write their own material.

The album was recorded and produced by the band themselves. It took about four months to complete and was released this month.
