Like everyone we love to listen to the same songs we hear every Christmas whether it’s traditional carols or popular songs released over the past forty plus years. However, we wanted to write some new songs for the festive season that were different from the usual “supermarket favourites” you start to hear around the end of August. We can promise you that not a single song on the album has ever been performed by a contestant on the X Factor (and never will be). The Guardian once printed a comment from a reader who said, “I hate the way X Factor has turned the Christmas number one into a boring over-commercialised piece of forgettable crap. I miss the good old days of real musicians like Spice Girls and Westlife.” We sincerely hope our songs do not remind you of real musicians like those mentioned. Father Christmas may or may not exist but we firmly believe in Noddy Holder.
